Demystifying Whistleblowing in the Armed Forces

EUROMIL, in collaboration with the Whistleblowing International Network (WIN), published a report on ‘Demystifying Whistleblowing in the Armed Forces’. The report is the result of the seminar held as a side event to the Eleventh International Conference of Ombuds Institutions for the Armed Forces. Strengthening and Defending TU Rights in the Public Sector: EPSU, EuroCOP, EUROMIL Project

Collective Bargaining & the Armed Forces

Collective bargaining is an important and necessary tool in furthering the rights of workers as it allows for the interests of individuals to be represented as a whole, at a high level with formal procedures in place. Unfortunately, collective bargaining is not always available for workers in the public sector, in particular for members of the armed forces, as they are often prevented from doing so by legislators. EUROMIL pledge with the European Climate Pact

On September 2021, EUROMIL decided to join the European Climate Pact by making a pledge to promote sustainability in the security and defence sector. Militaries across the world are huge emitters, greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced in the military in order to improve the efficiency of the operations and provide better conditions under which soldiers are operating.
