Judicial Victory for ITAMIL

The Italian Military Trade Union ITAMIL obtained an important judicial victory in defense of one of its leaders who had been transferred from Udine to Rome. The Ministry of Defense had already been convicted in the first instance for anti-union conduct but appealed against the sentence. The result was that the Ministry lost the appeal and was sentenced to pay legal fees. This case represents an important step towards the recognition of the right of personnel representation in the Italian armed forces.
