On 20 April 2017, the Board of EUROMIL adopted an updated version of the EUROMIL position on military pensions.

As social and professional interests of military personnel do not stop after retirement from the armed forces, EUROMIL promotes fair and sustainable military pension systems. Taking into account the specific nature of a military career, EUROMIL advocates a set of minimum standards, which are explained in the position paper.

The organisation will continue to work on the issue of military pensions and in this context is organising a conference in September 2017, focusing on pension systems in the Visegrad countries.
