Justice for Healthcare Staff

PFEARFU welcomes the response of the Ministries of Finance, National Defense and Health to the Federation’s relevant proposals for the inclusion of the staff of the Military Hospitals of the Army Share Fund Nursing Institution (NIMITZ) and the 251 General Aviation Hospital in the beneficiaries’ category, deserving extra allowance due to on-call time, a treatment that is similar to what the health staff of the Ministry of Health experiences, because of their participation in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.

PFEARFU’s Secretariat of Gender Equality participates in NATO event

PFEARFU’s Secretariat of Gender Equality had the opportunity to make a presentation on “The role of women in Greek Urban Warfare compared to the experiences of women in Jihadi terrorism, as experiences in Syria and Iraq” during the event titled “Gender Mainstreaming in Counter – terrorism Efforts in Western Balkans”, from May 16 to May 21, 2021. This Advanced Training Course event was funded by NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme (SPS), an action of the Cyber Security, Corporate Security and Crisis Management Initiative and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Tuzla.

PFEARFU discusses with Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Ms. Kerameus issues soldiers and their families face

PFEARFU’s delegation had the pleasure of attending a formal meeting with the Greek Minister of Education & Religious Affairs, Ms. Niki Kerameus. Minister Kerameus pledged to support the just demands of PFEARFU and of thousands of colleagues, acknowledging the need to improve both the daily and family lives of soldiers, and upgrading their academic and professional level.

PFEARFU at the Greek Parliament for the new bill of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs

PEFARFU was invited to discuss the new draft law of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs at a videoconference by the Greek Parliament of two Parliamentary Committees, on Wednesday, June 9th 2021. The decision for this invitation was made by the Standing Committee of Social Affairs and the Special Standing Committee on Equality, Youth and Human Rights of the Greek Parliament.
