EUROMIL Reaffirms Commitment to Protecting Peacekeepers Amid Rising Global Tensions

As tensions escalate globally, particularly in the Middle East, EUROMIL remains dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of Armed Forces members. Following recent attacks on UN peacekeepers, EUROMIL issues an urgent appeal underscoring the dangers faced by personnel serving under the UN flag. Since the 2000 Nyborg Congress, EUROMIL has been committed to defending the rights of military personnel on peacekeeping missions. Thus, during EUROMIL’s 130th General Assembly, which took place in Budapest (Hungary) the 25th of October, the members approved a Resolution on protecting UN-deployed troops.

As it was emphasized by EUROMIL’s President, Emmanuel Jacob, “Today, we reaffirm this commitment, adapting our 2000 resolution to address the current situation, emphasizing the critical need to safeguard those working to stabilize conflict zones”.
