This fifth edition of GMF’s transatlantic best practices convening will be held under the auspices of German Minister of Defence Dr. Ursula von der Leyen, in cooperation with EUROMIL, Deutscher.Soldat. e.V., and Women in International Security – Germany.
The goal is to provide a leadership development and exchange opportunity for key personnel and stakeholders to gain new strategies for diversity and inclusion (D&I) management in security contexts. Given rapid demographic change, as well as new security requirements, it is imperative for organisations on both sides of the Atlantic to develop D&I fluency and expertise. Topics which include inclusive human resource practices, staff development, gathering and use of demographic data, D&I and the changing nature of work, structures and regulations addressing D&I needs, such as specific diversity factors, diversity in the international deployment context and regional approaches to D&I.
